[WORKSHOP] Design & Sew your own Patchwork Tote Bag!

Very hands-on experience. Jo and her daughter Faith were both very helpful. The workshop venue was well lit and everyone was having such a good time creating something beautiful that time just flew by. Thank you.

Simple yet fun workshop. Easy to follow. The workspace is big enough for us to work on our tote bag. It was also a great idea to allow participants to bring their own fabric. With a small group of participants, it allowed us to ask the instructors questions and they were also able to assist us in a timely manner. Faith was a wonderful instructor. Truly enjoyed today's session. Looking forward to other workshops!

I joined the 4 July Patchwork Tote Workshop and had so much fun!
This was my first time trying patchwork and the mom & daughter instructors made it really easy to follow.

I loved choosing my own fabrics and designing my tote bag from scratch. The pace was just right and there was plenty of help when I needed it.

You can really feel the love and passion the mom-daughter team has for this craft. It was inspiring and I’m proud of the tote I made!

Highly recommend if you want to try a new craft and make something useful. Hope they run more workshops soon! 💛

I really enjoyed this workshop and found it easy to follow as a beginner. It was fun selecting the different fabric pieces for the tote and watching the bag come together with Faith's patient guidance. She gave clear instructions and was always ready to help. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone keen to learn sewing!

Instructions were clear and engaging, and the other participants were a fun bunch too! Ended up sewing together such a cute bag for myself and I use it almost every day now.

Had a lot of fun playing with a sewing machine for the first time! Faith was super patient and nice, and explained each step in detail. The pace of the class felt just right for a complete beginner like me🤪 Really liked that we could mix and match and create our own designs. Hope they open up more workshops to create other things!

Had such a fun and memorable time with my buddies creating my very first patch bag using recycled materials! ♻️👜

What made it extra special was discovering that one of the patch fabrics actually came from my own old clothing—it instantly turned the bag into something so unique and meaningful. It’s not just a bag, but a piece filled with memories.

Huge shoutout to our trainer, who was incredibly patient (even with all my nonsense 😄) and guided us every step of the way. Truly appreciate the encouragement and support throughout the session.

I really appreciated everything that I was able to do during the workshop! Sewing has always been something close to heart and being able to finally learn to use the sewing machine instead of doing hand sewing meant so much to me. Moreover, it’s patchwork sewing! Been wanting to do a craft like this.

I was mostly guided by Jo and Jo was so patient and clear in sharing what to do step by step, and I was impressed by how both Jo and Faith were able to individualise according to the pace every one was at. It was definitely not easy managing a workshop where we were all doing different things at the same time. Every one was well attended to!

I also love that everything was so well communicated from pre (sending us the to-notes and directions) to post workshop (links for materials).

Thank you for starting this and I truly hope more people would get to learn something so useful and meaningful from both of you. :)

Really really fun!! Jo and Faith were sooo patient and passionate. Just the right amount of assistance and guidance given. Well planned and executed, all materials well thought through and the time allocated was just nice as well. My friend and I had such a great time and would love to come back again!

Good hands on experience for someone with zero to little experience. Would be good to give a little more guidance on how to thread the machine and what to expect or look out for at each stage of the process. For e.g. is there a better way to handle the cloths of varying thickness. But good experience overall. Thank you Jo and Faith :)

It would be complete if u could add on a closure eg button, magnetic button to the bag.

Very fun workshop! Went with my mom and sister. My sister has zero experience but still manage to finish the bag with their guidance. Very fun workshop! Definitely recommended:)

Their instructions were clear and easy to follow, and they were always happy to help whenever needed. I learned a lot and really enjoyed making my tote bag. Easy to follow along and great selection of fabric cuts to choose from! I enjoyed matching the fabric pieces and constructing my own bag.

Very happy to have made my first patchwork tote bag! I was nervous at first because I didn't know how to match the patches but the instructor was nice and even helped me find other patches from her collection. Overall session was easy to follow and if you ever hit a snag (pun intended), instructor is always ready to help! One of the attendees made the session slower but instructor was fast to pick up speed thereafter. 🙏🏻

The workshop was really good, very beginner friendly and it was a very hands on experience. If you are someone who is keen to explore sewing (specifically using a sewing machine), this is really good place to start! From the beginning, the instructions were very clear on how to use the machine, what techniques to use to sew a straight line, what’s the final output we’re working towards etc. and the instructor gave us many tips along the way. The instructor was also very patient in helping us out when we had issues.

The best part is that we used up-cycled materials to sew our own patchwork tote bag, so it was very cute and customisable! I really felt like I designed and stitched my bag from scratch so it was very fulfilling. Overall a really great class and I’ve been using my tote bag so much since then! :)

Great lesson plan, the lesson is well-paced and I didn’t felt rushed to complete the final product.
They gave me tips along the way which helped me a lot.
